Last winter the Bronxville School administered a satisfaction survey, School Pulse, as a way of assessing student, teacher, and parent perceptions about the quality of programs and services. The survey, sponsored by the Gallup Organization, gathers comprehensive data about school atmosphere, equipment and facilities, safety, technology, teachers, curriculum, management, and community involvement. Although Bronxville gathered information using this survey in 2006 and 2009, the 2014 version included new questions and new methodology (on-line entry). As a result, this year's results serve as a new baseline.
Overall Satisfaction encompasses all the survey questions and thus remains the most reliable indicator of stakeholder views. On a 0-10 scale, with 10 representing a grade of "A", the results show that satisfaction among Middle School stakeholders is lower than at the Elementary and High Schools. School leaders will use the data to shape improvement plans.
