At a special meeting on January 22, the Bronxville Board of Education approved a takeover agreement with a bonding company, International Fidelity, to complete the auditorium/lobby project. The agreement defines the scope of costs and schedule, calling for the completion of the auditorium proper by the end of May. The agreement further stipulates that construction fencing and trailers will be removed from the site by the middle of June and that the lobby will be substantially completed no later than the end of July.
The takeover agreement anticipates an early resumption of construction activity; the bonding company has made plans with the other prime contractors to mobilize quickly.
The District is moving forward with alternate plans for various school activities, much as it did last year after the construction project began.
