Bronxville Police Department Provide ‘Stranger Danger’ Safety Tips to First-Graders

First-graders at Bronxville Elementary School welcomed special guests Sgt. William Carroll and police officer Cheryl Jarosz from the Bronxville Police Department to their school on April 24.

During their visit, Sgt. Carroll and officer Jarosz provided the students with safety tips and advice about strangers. They discussed how students can stay safe at home and what they can do if they’re approached by a stranger. At the end of each interactive and informative session, the students participated in a skit to demonstrate what they learned.

Students said they learned that they shouldn’t accept anything from a stranger, and if a stranger approaches them, they should run away and tell an adult.
