Enrollments Likely to Rise by 2%

David Quattrone, Superintendent of Schools, presented the enrollment projections that will form the cornerstone of the 2015-16 budget.  These estimates take into account historical trends, private school enrollment, and live births. Regular education enrollment is expected to rise from 1,718 to 1,757, or 2.2%. Over the next five years, the Elementary School is expected to be stable, the Middle School will peak, but the High School will increase from 500 students to  599 students, a 20% increase.  Quattrone noted that these trends will have an impact on staffing, space, and delivery models.  He also said the context of rising enrollment is directly related to the field improvements that are in the works.
