VOTER INFORMATION FOR THURSDAY, JAN. 22, 2015

 

When and Where?

Thursday, January 22nd, 2015

Polls are Open7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

 

LOCATION OF POLLS:  Multi-Purpose Room, Bronxville Public School, 177 Pondfield Road (enter through Elementary School doors)

 

What will be on the Ballot?

Proposition 1/Bond Referendum:  The authorization to participate in a flood mitigation project (FEMA Midland Valley Drainage Project) of which the district’s share would be the sum of an amount not to exceed $900,000:  Vote Yes or No

 

Proposition 2:  The authorization to withdraw up to $2,200,000 from the “District Wide Improvements Capital Reserve Fund” to pay the costs of constructing a synthetic turf field and other incidental improvements in an amount not to exceed $2,200,000:

Who May Vote?

You may vote if you are a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, and a resident of the school district (Village of Bronxville) for at least 30 days prior to January 22, 2015.

 

How do I cast an Absentee Ballot?

  1. A qualified voter must complete and submit an application (available here or in the Superintendent’s Office).
  2. The completed application must be received in the Superintendent’s Office at least seven days before the election (January 15th) if the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter.  If the absentee ballot is to be issued to the voter in person, the completed application must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21st.  The completed absentee ballot must be received in the Superintendent’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
