Bronxville Elementary Celebrates Kindness at Be3 Spirit Assembly

Bronxville Elementary School students came together for a Be3 Spirit Assembly this morning centered on kindness and living the Bronxville Promise.

Led by Assistant Principal Dr. Michelle Tween and Student Council members, the assembly invited students to reflect on what kindness looks like and feels like in every day moments. Students shared personal examples of kindness, including helping a classmate who was feeling sad, offering encouraging words, picking up dropped supplies, and cheering others on. These moments reinforced that kindness has a powerful impact on both the giver and the receiver.
The assembly highlighted how kindness connects directly to Be3, being responsible, respectful, and safe, and how choosing kind words and actions strengthens relationships throughout the school community.

Each grade level was recognized for participating in kindness initiatives throughout the month. Activities included buddy partnerships between grade levels, handmade cards and crafts for staff, anti-bullying videos, and the Fifth Grade Kindness Café. Kindergarten students also created and presented banners to staff members including Mr. George (Phipps), security guard supervisor; Ms. Cynthia Deen, senior office assistant and registrar; Ms. Jean Marie Herrschaft, school nurse and Ms. Martha Taylor, recess supervisor, who consistently demonstrate kindness and care for students.

Adding excitement to the celebration, the school mascot, Bronco, joined the assembly to the delight of students. Bronco helped Student Council members introduce the new Be3 with Heart theme and logo led the school community in a spirited Bronco Cheer to close the assembly.
As the school moves into February, students were encouraged to continue practicing Be3 with heart by spreading kindness in their classrooms and throughout the school community.
