Bronxville Girls Varsity Soccer Team Earns Section One Sportsmanship Award

Bronxville High School is proud to announce that the Girls Varsity Soccer team has been honored with the prestigious Section One Sportsmanship Award, a distinction that highlights not only their athletic ability but also their exceptional character, integrity, and respect for the game.

As part of Section One’s commitment to fostering positive athletic environments, officials began the fall season with clear expectations regarding sportsmanship and conduct. Bronxville’s athletes consistently rose to this standard. Throughout the season, the team earned praise from officials and opposing coaches for their respectful play and strong team culture. Remarkably, they completed the entire season without receiving a single yellow or red card –– making them only one of the 60 teams in Section One to do so.

This accomplishment reflects the leadership, guidance, and example set by the team’s coaching staff. Head Coach Don Cupertino and Assistant Coaches Caitlin (Hoffer) Sabo and Michaela Donohue have created a program rooted in respect, discipline, and teamwork, The dedication has helped shape a team culture that embodies the very best of Bronxville athletics.

Bronxville High School is exceptionally proud of the girls varsity soccer players for representing the district with humility, sportsmanship, and pride. Their commitment to excellence both on and off the field serves as a model for students and athletes across the community.
