Members of Bronxville High School’s Troops Club welcomed Christopher Howard, a soldier and Eastchester High School graduate currently home from serving in Poland, for a special visit and discussion at their school on May 19.

For the past two years, the students have been sending Howard cards and candy while he has been deployed overseas. During his visit, Howard thanked members of the Troops Club for their continued support and spoke to the students about his military service.

“The Troops Club has been in existence here at Bronxville High School for the past 20 years,” high school teacher Julie Clarke said. “Whenever possible, we send packages to soldiers from this area, and several Bronxville High School seniors have written their college essays about their experience in the club.”
