The Bronxville Union Free School District is proud to announce that four Bronxville High School seniors have advanced to Finalist standing in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Samuel Bright, Kara Kochansky, Masha Lekovic, and Isabel Yeon have met all requirements to progress from Semifinalist to Finalist status in this highly competitive national program. According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, approximately 16,000 students nationwide were named Semifinalists in September 2025, and more than 15,000 of those students advanced to Finalist standing after fulfilling the program’s academic and application requirements.

This recognition reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and the principles of the Bronxville Promise, which encourages students to pursue intellectual curiosity, demonstrate resilience, and strive for their personal best.

Finalists are now under consideration for approximately 6,870 National Merit Scholarships that will be awarded in 2026, with scholarship recipients to be announced in multiple rounds this spring and summer.

The District congratulates Samuel, Kara, Masha, and Isabel on this significant achievement and commends them for their continued academic excellence.
