Fourteen Bronxville High School seniors were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as Commended Students in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among 34,000 students nationwide to be recognized for their exceptional academic achievements.
Benjamin Atkeson, Neda Brinster, Maria Chernova, Simos Dimas, William Gottlieb, Delaney Leddy, Madeline Lescott, Shea Lewis, Leonid Nevezhin, Jeffrey Rohr, Andrew Shah, Lucia Thiessen-Rodriguez, Kiran Waggoner and Justine Watkins received Letters of Commendation.
Being recognized as a Commended Student is an honor given annually to outstanding students who achieve exceptional scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Although Commended Students will not continue in the 2024 competition for scholarship awards, they placed among the top students who took the qualifying test in 2022.
