Bronxville High School girls soccer team coach Don Cupertino, who has been leading the program since 1990, has been inducted into the New York State Girls Soccer Hall of Fame for 2025. Cupertino holds a remarkable 544-135-37 career record. Under his leadership, the Bronxville girls soccer team has secured four state titles, one state runner-up finish, five final four appearances, 22 section titles, five sectional runner-up finishes and 27 league titles.
“It is truly an honor and a privilege to be inducted into the New York State Girls Soccer Hall of Fame,” Cupertino said. “I owe it to the hard work of the dedicated Bronxville athletes who year after year come ready to play. They are all committed to the program and achieve all that they are capable of. It is truly a great feeling of accomplishment.”
When Cupertino began coaching, the girls soccer team competed in the spring and had no opportunity for state playoffs. That changed in 2006 when the program moved to the fall, opening doors to regional and state competitions. Since then, the team has flourished on the state level, a testament to Cupertino’s vision, leadership and passion for the game.
