Bronxville School Students Earn Prestigious Writing Awards

Four talented Bronxville School students have earned awards in the prestigious 2025 Hudson-to-Housatonic Writing Region Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. 

•    Bronxville Middle School eighth grader Madeleine Borducci earned a Silver Key for her short story, “Just Dessert.”
•    Bronxville High School junior Lily Mei Peckham earned Honorable Mention for her two short stories “The Dog in the Painting" and "The Summoner.” 
•    Bronxville High School junior Emma Yeon earned three awards, including a Gold Key for her short story, “The Brakes,” a Silver Key for her short story, "Waterbirds,” and Honorable Mention for her flash fiction, “Laelaps.” 
•    Bronxville High School senior Lia Nacey earned Honorable Mention awards for her flash fictions “She knows the flowers will never smell like this again" and "Winter,” and her personal essay and memoir, "Petunias.” 

A panel of professional novelists, editors, teachers, poets, librarians, journalists, and other literary professionals selected these works from 2,595 submissions this year. A total of 169 Gold Keys were awarded to the most accomplished works, 266 Silver Keys were awarded to distinguished works, and 476 Honorable Mentions were awarded to promising works. 

Presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program identifies students with exceptional artistic and literary talents.
