The Bronxville School is pleased to announce that Dr. Michelle Tween has been appointed as assistant principal of Bronxville Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year, following a thorough and extensive search process.
“Dr. Tween has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for all students throughout her career as she has worked collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators and families to ensure every child’s needs are met and their potential is nurtured,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Rachel Kelly said. “At the Bronxville School, we believe that leadership plays a critical role in shaping our school community.”
Dr. Tween brings a wealth of experience to her new role, currently serving as an assistant principal at the Austin Road Elementary School in Mahopac, where she was awarded tenure last year. Prior to that, she was a respected educator at the Chapel School in Bronxville, advancing from a teacher to preschool director before being named as director of early childhood education.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fordham University, a master’s degree in early childhood education and early childhood special education from The College of New Rochelle, an advanced diploma in school building leadership from The College of New Rochelle, and, more recently, her doctorate in educational leadership, administration and policy from Fordham University.
“We are confident that Dr. Tween will be an invaluable addition to our leadership team, helping to build upon The Bronxville Promise, our school’s traditions of excellence, and working with families and faculty to continue to provide an exceptional educational experience for all of our students,” Dr. Kelly said.
Dr. Tween will officially step into her new role in Bronxville on July 1.
