In what has become an exciting annual tradition, the Bronxville High School girls tennis team had the unique opportunity to play at the U.S. Open Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens. They faced off against the Edgemont High School team on the same courts used by world-class professionals during the U.S. Open each year.
This year, Edgemont claimed victory, defeating Bronxville 3-2 in the match; however, Bronxville’s Anette Dani secured her ninth win of the season, and Astrid Pulkkinen triumphed in a tough match, winning a 10-8 tiebreak in the third set.
A special thanks to all dedicated Bronxville parents who transported players to and from the match, and a heartfelt thanks to the entire Bronxville tennis team for their hard work and commitment.
