Eighth Graders Bridge Generations Through Technology Support

Eighth Graders Bridge Generations Through Technology Support
Bronxville, NY

A group of eighth graders participated in a meaningful service-learning activity when they connected with senior citizens at the Reformed Church of Bronxville. As members of the Service Learning Club, under the guidance of adviser Connor Mitchell, the students provided valuable technology assistance. They answered questions about technology and helped seniors navigate their phones, iPads, tablets and computers.

The initiative was made possible through a collaboration between Mitchell and Alyssa Dioguardi, dean of service learning and community engagement. The Service Learning Club was created to promote community involvement and real-world learning experiences. Special thanks to the students who participated: Ariana Bala, Juliet Bruno, Anthony D’Amato, Bella Ferraro, Beatrice Hogue, Nikita Pavlova, David Torres and Adele Zichello.
