Orchestra Students Spread Holiday Cheer at Nursing Home
Bronxville, NY

A group of talented Bronxville High School musicians, led by orchestra director Dr. Denise Lutter, spread holiday cheer and performed an arrangement of holiday classics for residents of the Wartburg nursing home on Dec. 7.

“Sharing familiar holiday music helped to create a wonderful bond between the senior citizens and our high school students,” Dr. Lutter said. “It was an honor to be so warmly welcomed by the Wartburg residents.”

Dr. Lutter and the group of students – James Apostolatos (viola), Mariana Apostolatos (viola), Rory Christian (violin), Ella Crawford (vocalist), George Daher (violin), Holden D’Avico (violin), Liam Heraty (violin), Kirsten Ircha (viola), Theodore Liao (cello), Alexander New (cello), Sasha Paradise (cello), Emily Plaza (cello), Masha Popovic (violin), Matthew Pytosh (vocalist), Uma Revadigar (violin), Sofia Ricciarini (violin), Claire Rich (cello), Alanna Thompson (vocalist), Nora Triandis (vocalist), Amanda Troy (violin), Lilly Vorbach (vocalist) and Patrick Wu (cello) – performed the holiday music and invited the audience to sing along.

As members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, a music service organization, the students use their musical skills in service to others. The trip was organized by high school senior Kirsten Ircha.
