Sixth graders showcased their creativity and celebrated fall during the annual pumpkin decorating contest on Oct. 27. Earlier in the week, the students created their own designs and decorated their pumpkins using supplies they brought to school as part of their advisory periods.
As a culmination, they displayed their pumpkins on the front steps of their school and enjoyed snacks and refreshments provided by class parents.
“Administrators were happy to participate and act as our judges to provide ribbons and certificates to winning pumpkins,” teacher Brittany Miceli said. “It is a great tradition and a fond memory of mine each year.”
