Student Help Desk Members Visit Amazon
Bronxville News

Eight members of the Bronxville High School Student Help Desk recently took a field trip to Amazon’s office in New York City. They met with Bob Devereux, a Bronxville School parent and graduate of the high school, who hosted them at his office for the day. He discussed his career path, took the students on a tour and shared with them some of the projects he’s working on.

“The students were also able to share their work and what led them to want to be part of the Student Help Desk,” Bronxville School Director of Technology Jennifer Forsberg said. “One of our goals is to share different technology experiences, and we were fortunate to have a parent in the community who works at Amazon offer to host us.”

As members of the Student Help Desk, the students are equipped to support the entire district and assist their peers and teachers in resolving myriad technology issues. The program is designed to engage students in different aspects of technology and encourage them to be leaders and innovators in their school and greater community.

In March, they will visit Samsung NEXT in New York City to look at innovations in technology.
