Bronxville High School freshmen and sophomores earned top awards at the 2025 Lower Hudson Valley History Day Competition, held at St. Thomas Aquinas College on March 29. Having conducted extensive historical research on a topic of their choice, the students’ authentic work focused on this year’s theme of “Rights and Responsibilities in History.”
Their work was displayed in one of five ways – paper, website, documentary, performance or exhibit. At the regional competition, the students were interviewed by professors and scholars and articulated what they’ve discovered through their historical research. First- and second-place winners have advanced to the state competition, which will be held at SUNY Oneonta on April 27, while third-place winners will serve as alternates.
