Members of Bronxville High School’s Film Club held a virtual film festival on June 4 to celebrate their original films. With more than 15 student submissions, the films depicted a range of topics from creative narratives about childhood imagination to social reform documentaries.
“What stood out the most was the abundance of creativity within our student body,” said Eileen Marshall, a senior and president of the High School Film Club. “They exemplified real passion.”
Marshall was among a panel of judges that included student Arielle Rothman and social studies teacher and club adviser Chris Doyle. The students worked together virtually or individually to complete their films and submitted their films through FilmFreeway in categories that included narrative, documentary, journalism, experimental, animation and a separate category for middle school.
