Bronxville High School seniors Luke Arrighi and Rustin Wiser have announced their commitment to play Division I sports in college this fall during a ceremonial letter of intent signing on Nov. 8. They were recognized for their accolades and outstanding contributions to the school community before an audience of administrators, teachers, parents and friends.
Arrighi, who has been playing lacrosse for 11 years, will bring his talents to the University of North Carolina as a goalie. As a three-time captain of the Bronxville lacrosse team, he has won numerous awards locally and nationally. He was named defensive MVP for two consecutive years, and has earned All-League, All-Section, All-State, LoHud Elite 11 and LoHud All-Star. For his hard work, he also earned the title of being a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse magazine, and his elite play earned him the opportunity to train and compete with the USA National Team Developmental Program for the past three years.
Wiser, who has been on the varsity squash team for four years, will play squash at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. The high school varsity team captain has earned numerous awards, won the Junior National Championship, ranked No. 3 in the country and was named a three-time All-American. He also played for Team USA at the British Junior Open last year and was selected to play in the Pan American Games this past summer.
Arrighi and Wiser expressed their gratitude toward their families, coaches and teachers for their support and guidance.
