01 Students will demonstrate creativity by making something new from what they know

02 Students will use design thinking by empathizing and asking questions to understand, and brainstorming, imagining, and incubating original ideas or approaches to a problem or need, by planning, designing and creating prototypes and applying the design and testing, and using data and/or feedback to improve on and revise

03 Students will be risk takers and see failure as a part of learning by showing a willingness to engage amidst ambiguity

04 Students will use Artificial Intelligence responsibly and other technologies ethically to challenge and expand upon their thinking

Engaging as a citizen is becoming informed and acting to make an impact. 

01 Students will show respect for diversity by:

connecting to self and others, listening to understand multiple perspectives by reserving judgment and asking clarifying questions and understanding someone’s experience with empathy

02 Students will assess options for action and sustainable solutions to community or global problems by appreciating charity (short-term fixes) and problem solving (permanent solutions)

Critical thinking requires disciplined processes to deepen understanding, evaluate possibilities, and construct a reasoned judgment.

01 Students will analyze by asking relevant and probing questions, identifying supporting evidence and reasons and recognizing, explaining, and interpreting patterns or themes

02 Students will evaluate by determining and questioning the accuracy, relevance and bias of sources including artificial intelligence, and by identifying and using criteria to make reasoned judgments

03 Students will synthesize by asking questions to extend thinking, making connections or creating new meaning to develop a new perspective based on evidence and argumentation

04 Students will engage in civil discourse by asking questions and listening, honoring diversity of thought, respectfully engaging in conversation, and identifying common ground
