Bronxville High School Celebrates Class of 2018 photo

After years of hard work and dedication, Bronxville High School’s Class of 2018 completed its secondary school experience when the graduates took hold of their diplomas during the 96th commencement ceremony, held on the school’s front lawn on June 16.

Eighth-graders at Bronxville Middle School and ninth- through 12th-graders at Bronxville High School had outstanding performances on national language tests and received numerous gold, silver and bronze medals, as well as honorable mention awards.

In preparation for their field trip to the Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center in Airmont, two sixth-grade classes at Bronxville Middle School participated in a FaceTime interview with June Scobee Rodgers, a founding director of the Challenger Center.

Kindergarten through fifth-grade students at Bronxville Elementary School – who read Dori Kleber’s “More-igami” book as part of the Whole School Read – recently collaborated with each other to create origami and persevere through the challenges. 

Choristers Earn Gold With Distinction Award at NYSSMA Festival photo

Members of the Bronxville Middle School Choristers, led by choral director Pamela Simpson, have earned the highest possible accolade – a Gold with Distinction award – at the New York State School Music Association Spring Festival, held at New York University on June 8. 

Sophomores Earn National Title at Historical Research Competition photo

Bronxville High School sophomores – Charlotte Dotson, Sabrina Mellinghoff, Emily Perry, Sofia Riccarini and Grace Sperber – won first place in the group exhibit category at the national finals of the 2018 National History Day Contest, held on June 10-14 at the University of Maryland. 

Second-Graders Design Original Classroom Chairs photo

Second-graders in Nina Blauner’s and Lori Feingold’s classes have designed and built their own original chairs as part of an innovation project that challenged them to create chairs that can improve classroom life.
